About Ramiz

  • Born in 1940, Mostar.

  • Member of ULUPUBiH (Association of Applied Art Artists in Bosnia and Herzegovina) since 1972. Sole trader in his own atelier for artistic metal work. Invented a special technique of metal work by using color application on bas-reliefs.

  • Held 20 solo exhibitions and participated in numerous collective exhibitions in Bosnia and internationally.

  • With ULUPUBiH as a delegate, participated in the 9th Congress of WORLD CRAFT COUNCIL in Vienna, where he organized an exhibition and a demonstration of the technique "boj-bak" (coming from the Bosnian words color-copper). 

  • Featured in UNESCO's publication "ARTS AND CRAFTS IN BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA" in 2005.

  • At WORLD EXPO 2010 in Shanghai, China, represented traditional art of Bosnia and Herzegovina along with 20 other renowned presenters.

  • Winner of international awards in Barcelona (1987) and Toledo (1991), and ULUPUBiH awards in 2000, 2004, and 2008.

  • Became an honorary member of ULUPUBiH on February 16th 2013.
